I took this photo of the life size bronze sculpture of Lord Baden-Powell, located on Poole Quay.
According to the Poole Tourism website, this statue is
“A life size bronze sculpture of Lord Baden-Powell takes pride of place on Poole Quay to celebrate Poole’s scouting connections.
Find the statue on the water’s edge near to where the ferries depart to Brownsea Island. As the founder of the world Scout Movement, Lord Baden-Powell is captured in the seated position as though sat around a camp fire, looking out to the island where it all began.”
I took this photo from low down trying to give a different perspective of the founder of the Scout movement, which I was a happy member of when I was much younger!
