More Urban Photography in Dorset

Check out this urban landscape shot taken in Poole, Dorset

Same car park as my last post. Same process as the last one. Pretty much.

I prefer this shot. Why?

I just do. I like the texture especially in the greens. The sky is great of course. It is urban and gritty.

And remember those rules of photography?

Leading lines?

Check mine out. It is there but not quite correct.

I broke the rule. And it feels good!!

The image is not quite balanced as it should be, in case you were trying to work out what was bothering you. Yes I could have corrected this in Photoshop, but chose not to.

Because sometimes as I have said before you just have to break those rules.

And that is why it is so important to learn the rules of photography, so you can learn when to use them, and when to break them.

Just wait for Fridays image, which I have just prepared. Same location. Different outcome.

Thanks for reading this post.
