Live from the shoot today. Just waiting for the next batch of clouds to disappear.
So today I get to spend a day photographing the fantastic architecture at Poundbury.
The weather is dry with a gentle breeze blowing the white and fluffy clouds along. Writing this during a cloud break!! Camera poised on tripod ready to go - next shot is a view down
The problem with location photography in England is the weather of course. Shots of great architecture in dull cloudy conditions are not great.
the next cloud is a bIggy....
So how do I deal with this?
Firstly wait for good weather. Then plan the shoot, sun direction, building orientation and your priorities.
Shoot when you can. Set up for the next shot. Then wait for the sun.
i could do the shoot I am doing in half a day if I was just snap snap snap but fortunately my client wants the standard of images I love producing.
So waiting is just part of the job. And to do a job like this properly takes time.
This cloud is bigger than I expected. Back to the waiting....
