Now I like this shot from 2010 taken for the owners of this fantastic private country residence in Dorset. What a fantastic pool this is, with all that lovely natural light.
This exercise in reviewing my shots is all about me learning from what I have done since the 2014 portfolio, and how I would improve on my previous submissions.
So how would I make this shot better? Well it is absolutely fine. Interior photogrpahy is quite challenging. But if you are being paid as an interior photographer you have to get it right!
So I would do an HDR shot here, probably wider than the 19mm used, and get the front corner in. The HDR shot would make the content of the windows appeare more natural and realistic - from memory there was some pretty major dodging and buring of this shot.
But still the image was good at the time and the client was happy - I could just do so much better now which is encouraging.
Come back to my blog shortly for the next shot in my portfolio, and some more wise words about my work, at
