Nik Software - I wrote about this free Google software previously. Well it is time to play, so haere are some variants on an interior photography shot taken at the spectacular London Shard. It is nice to experiment with new software. I usually experiment with my landscape but have decided to experiment on my building work, so I can offer something different as an interior photographer.
So here are the variations, starting with my original Lightroom edit.
Not bad but not great.
Next is the re-edit done yesterday, in Lightroom only, of the same shot.
Much better. That is what 2 years of practise and learning has done for my work!
And now we have the black and white conversion using the High Structure Harsh preset.
I am liking this a lot. I don't do much black and white work, but this, using the Nik Silver Efex Pro High Structure Harsh preset is great. I just selected the preset and clicked save - I did nothing more.
Now we go funky - HDR Efex Indoor 2
Hmmm . Maybe not..........
Finally with the Nik software, Nik Colour Efex Detail Extractor
Yep liking that too
For completeness, finally the original, unedited RAW file.
Yes this really is waht the RAW file looks like coming out of the Canon 6D.
So an interseting experiment, and one that I look forward to continuiing with on some other architectural photography work
