One of my favourite images of Poole is this, my picture of the RNLI Memorial.
This post is in part a lesson (for me) in syncing devices. What are you talking about I hear you say!
Well I write my posts on my IPad when I am out and about, and also when I am editing work in my office at home I write about the editing side of thingson my IPad as I am doing the editing on my main PC. Once the editing is done I save the blog post (online) on my IPad, then continue writing on my PC.
This morning I forgot to save the last version on my IPad, didn't close it went to continue on my PC and thought that was that. So when I fired up my IPad much later the post was still there on my IPad, and by mistake I selected "discard changes" and it did. All of them. All those lovely words I wrote this morning.
Syncing devices is something I need to get on top of.
Hence the digression.
And hence the shorter post today.
And the different time of the post, which is rather annoying.
So what did I do to this image? Let's see if I can remember from this morning.
I had the original image which was submitted for my portfolio review, which has stayed in as it is a strong image.
THe RNLI are a big presence in Poole, and I like producing local images being a resident of the Borough of Poole.
This image was taken on my Cnaon 5D with Canon 24-05mm lens by the way.
The main thing I have done to this image is extended the dynamic range, then lightened the whole thing to make it brighter.
Thanks for reading this briefer than I would liked post but please call back to my blog at 6pm for my image of the week.
