As you may know i do like to do the occasional black and white conversion of an image. And this landscape photography picture is no exception.
This is the processing I carried out in Nik Silver Efex Pro to the colour image I posted yesterday.
Preset
A tricky one. I wanted to pull out all the textures. I ended up going with Full Dynamic Smooth having tried all the presets. Twice.
Filters next.
Red, orange and yellow all did the same thing. I went with the green filter. The blue filter was a no.
Vignette
Lens Falloff 2 worked nicely.
Brightness
I gave the Dynamic Brightness a treat to 36%.
And I didn't like the end result so I went back and made the following adjustments to the brightness
Overall brightness - no change
Highlights -33%
Midtones +18%
Shadows +44%
Dynamic Brightness -33%
And now it looks better.
And that is that. Image done. And an interesting one at that. What do you think? Colour or black and white?
