7 weeks since I switched from .co.uk to .com - what happened?

It is 7 weeks since I changed my web address from

http://www.rickmcevoyphotography.co.uk

to

https://rickmcevoyphotography.com

I am going to write about this more next month, but here is the Google Analytics stats - this is the last 30 days

And this is the last 30 days before I made the switch.

And this is my old URL for the last 30 days!

4 visitors. 100% bounce rate.

It is a good job I worked out I needed to switch my analaytics to .com - the plummeting website traffic was a bit of a shocker I have to say!

And as to the volume and quality of web traffic - the volume is getting there after 7 weeks, and the quality of traffic is improving judging by the contact via my website.

Lots more data to write about, I just wanted to get the headlines out there and say this about top level domains- I think the right way to go is to go .com if you have a global audience, and stay .co.uk if you are only trying to reach people in the UK.

I write about photography, which is a global subject, hence my switch to .com.
