How Can I Learn To Use My New Camera?
The best way to learn to use your camera is to go through the camera manual from start to finish with your camera and try out all the things that you can do with your camera. Buy one book about your camera and learn the things that you want to learn. Go out with your camera and practise the things that you have learned. You should aim to be able to use your camera with your eyes closed – that is when you have learned to use your camera!
Why Is Camera Sensor Size Important?
The size of the camera sensor size defines the type of camera, the most popular ones being full frame, APS-C or micro four-third cameras. The size of the camera sensor is a significant factor in the quality of images captured, with larger camera sensors generally recording more data and providing higher-quality images. The size of the camera sensor is related to the cost of the camera – generally the larger the sensor the more expensive the camera.

How Does A Camera Work?
A camera is a lightproof box with an opening in it which allows light to pass through to the sensor where the image is recorded. The camera body is the box, the lens is the opening and the shutter is the thing that opens to let the light in. The lens focuses the image on the sensor giving a high-quality recording of the scene the camera is pointing at.
A camera works by exposing the camera sensor to light when the shutter opens. The amount of time the shutter is open, the size of the opening in the camera lens and the sensitivity of the camera sensor to light are all adjustable and set by either the camera or the photographer to create the exposure.
What Is Photography To Me?
Photography is made from two Greek words, photos, which means light and graphé, which means drawing. Some people say writing, but it's the same principle. So photography is drawing with light.
It is that simple. The word comes from photo which means light, and graphé which means drawing. But for me, photography is much more than that. Photography has been a huge part of my life since my early teens. And that is a long time ago I can assure you! Photography is the thing that I have spent my entire adult life studying, learning, practising, sharing and enjoying. Photography has taken me to so many unique places and given me so many unforgettable experiences.
