A different view of one of those colourful yellow fields – new Hampshire Photography

Now this is a vibrant, bright, lively colourful picture of Hampshire.

And taken from a different viewpoint. This is one of those drive by photo shoots as I was going from one place to another. Time to stop for a quick drink and explore a new photographic location in Hampshire.

This picture was taken by holding my camera just above the ground. I used Live View to frame, although I really couldn’t see what I was doing. I held the camera above the ground, used back button focus to focus about a third in, then guessed the composition!

I took three shots, then checked my camera back and hey presto I had this!

Another case of not needing the bracketed shots, this is the correctly exposed image with a bit of work in Lightroom and a bit of tidying up in Photoshop.

I really love this shot. I love the colours and the feel that my Canon 6D captures.

There is a great sky forming the frame for the image, bright blues with a band of clouds. This was one of those times I knew when I stopped things were looking good for an interesting shot.

I used my 17-40mm F4L lens, 17mm, 1/1250th second F8. ISO was 400.

This is going into my new Hampshire photography collection without a doubt, so that is image number 1 sorted! I was going to wait till I had started work on this collection, so forgive me if you see this again soon as part of that series of posts, but I couldn’t wait to publish image.

Yes, that is how much I love this shot. And it gives me an idea for how to make a better picture than this of such a scene – time to deploy another of my favourite bits of photography equipment!
