Why should you choose me to photograph your building – well it’s a fair question – let me answer it for you?

The question is this – why should you choose me to photograph your building? I am talking about your building in whatever state it is – it could be a live construction site, recently completed new building or building having recently been refurbished.

Alternatively you could have a building that you require photographing for marketing purposes either for sale or for leasing of space for commercial tenants.

Whatever your building photography requirements I am ideally suited to provide high quality technically correct images for you.

Let me tell you why. And how.

1 – I have a lifetime of experience working in the construction industry in a variety of sectors, and to all types of buildings. When I say all buildings, I mean most buildings –  I’ll never claim to have worked on every type of building – but most I can say I have worked in/ on.

2 – I have extensive experience photographing buildings of all shapes and sizes, in a variety of sectors and locations.

3 – I am a chartered builder – MCIOB.

4 – I am a professionally qualified photographer – LBIPP.

5 – I’m quite good at photographing buildings. One of the reasons I am quite good at photographing buildings is because I have an interest in buildings. I enjoy photographing the interiors and exteriors of buildings of all types.

6 – I have professional Canon photography equipment which allows me to take high-quality images.

7 – My image processing is to a high technical standard.

8 – I can accurately reproduce the colours, tones and textures that are designed into buildings which are often important architectural features. And certainly important to the architects who often commission me.

9 – My image capture and image processing workflows combine to enable me to produce consistent high-quality imagery. This includes from one shoot to the next, in different locations on different days for the same client, which I have done on many occasions.

10 – I also have a variety of equipment which allows me to shoot from different angles, heights and viewpoints to get a slightly different view on life.

Blimey – I could have called this post “10 reasons why you should choose me to photograph your building”. I know – good SEO work there….

And point number 10 leads me nicely into one thing that makes me unique.

Not good, great, the best – but certainly unique.

My eyes, and the way I look at things.

I look at buildings in a certain way. Hopefully in a way that means that I can capture the essential elements of the building, in particular the important design features – all those little things that make a difference.

And how the light in a scene interacts with the components and elements of a building.
I would like to say a bit more about my construction experience, which has to make me unusual (unique I will restrict to my eyes) as a professional photographer.

I understand construction. I understand the intricacies and complexities of construction works and construction sites. I am familiar with and understand the architectural process, and how these are applied in the construction phase.

I am fully equipped to access most construction sites with my own PPE (again I say most but not all construction sites as there must be a site somewhere requiring PPE that I do not have).

I can also photograph industrial installations and commercial plants where the requirements and technical skills needed are very similar.

On my website you can see a variety of pages which showcase a selection of my commercial, architectural and industrial photographic work.

I have a number of different pages which are dedicated to different aspects of photographing the built environment – all about photographing buildings in one shape or form.

Which is what I specialise in after all. Photographing buildings.

Architectural photography

Construction photography

Construction product photography.

I separate this from construction photography as this is a specialism within a specialism for me, photographing construction products installed on sites.

Industrial photography

Interior photography

Property photography.

As I said these pages all feature examples of my work taking photographs of buildings in a variety of environments for a variety of clients.

Whatever your requirements for having professional photographs taken of a building please get in touch with me and I will be able to discuss your requirements with you.

I am currently taking bookings for November as I am fully committed at the time of writing in the months of September and October, so please get in touch early to make sure that we can arrange some suitable timings.

Pricing

I should say that I’m not the cheapest photographer so if price is your main priority by all means get in touch but you might be best placed going to another photographer.

I price each construction, building or industrial photography shoot on an individual basis. My price will reflect the complexity of the shoot, the time required on site, the number of images required and any specific licensing arrangements
