And I love it!
Dressed in PPE consisting of boots, high vis trousers and jacket, hard hat, gloves and glasses. And my Canon 6D on the top of my trusty painters pole being activated remotely using the Canon Connect App on my iPhone 6 Plus.
Not so quietly melting in the baking heat.
I can’t say where or when this was taken, as the client needs to publish and benefit from the images I captured. This is really the reason for this blog post.
A lot of the work I do I am not able to write about for various reasons, usually because the client wants to use the images themselves for their own commercial reasons.
This is of course absolutely fine, and hopefully explains why you do not necessarily see on my photography blog about the work I am doing when I do it.
I typically have to wait 2-3 months from doing a shoot to being able to publish work on my blog. This is why I am now getting more behind the scenes pictures which I can post without compromising commercial arrangements with clients.
And also I would like to mention another point. And I am back to the question of why you should hire me to take photographs on your construction site, or in this case industrial site.
The brief was very specific. The problem was that it was physically impossible to get the shots I needed due to where everything was. Until i got my painters pole out, with Manfrotto quick release plate, and the iPhone case that allows me to hang my phone from a lanyard around my neck, allowing me to change the point of image capture.
It is having this range of unusual equipment that allows me to adapt to the situation in hand, enabling me to take pictures when access is not physically possible.
