Details make pictures interesting. Good details that is. Interesting things. Like this rusty chain. Chain, St Ives, Cornwall I saw this whilst walking on the beach in St Ives, Cornwall. Everyone was taking photos in this lovely, picturesque resort town in Cornwall. Cameras everywhere. But there was absolutely no-one where I was, down on the beach below the harbour wall. So no-one else would have seen this rusty chain fixed to the harbour wall.As a landscape photographer you need to look out for the little things as well as the big, dramatic views. As I said when I took this shot everyone was trying to capture all of St Ives from the same viewpoints. I did not even take any of those general shots at all. I just spent time exploring one very small part of the harbour looking for interesting things. #landscape-photographer
